Dr. Dan, as he is called by many in the congregation, grew up in Cleveland, TN in the First Presbyterian Church.  As a Bradley County boy he attended Bradley Central High and then journeyed north to King College.  At King he met Pat Pickel and upon their graduation from King they were married.  From King, Dan and Pat journeyed south to Decatur, GA where he attended Columbia Theological Seminary.  Dan was the pastor of Ruby and White Oak Presbyterian Churches in Chesterfield, SC and then of Cross Roads Presbyterian Church in Knoxville.

At this juncture Dr. Dan’s ministry moved to youth and camp and conference ministry.  Dan served as Associate Executive for Youth Ministry and Camping for the Presbytery of East Tennessee serving the Presbytery in a variety of capacities including Director of Camp John Knox.  The Donaldson’s moved to the  Atlanta area when they accepted the call for Dr. Dan to be the Director of Calvin Center, the camp and conference center for the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta.

In 1998 Dr. Dan and family heard and answered the call of First Presbyterian Church, Greeneville.  The rest they say is history as Dr. Dan’s tenure in Greeneville now approaches eleven years.  Dr. Dan is an avid photographer, when time permits, and enjoys being outdoors as much as possible working in the yard or the beauty of the mountains.  Dan and Pat have two children, Heather, who lives at home, enjoys her time at Comcare and working at McDonalds on the Boulevard and Rachel, a student at Greeneville High School enjoys the theater and her many friends.

Ms. Becca Wilford  - Church Secretary

Email - fpcscty@embarqmail.com

Originally from Michigan, Becca completed her Bachelor of Science in Zoology (concentration in genetics) at Michigan State University.  After completing her B.S., she took some time for traveling and left for Israel where she lived on a kibbutz for 6 months.  Finding that traveling suited her well, Becca worked odd jobs - enough to support her wanderlust - and continued traveling for several years.  Her travels took her to many of the states west of the Mississippi as well as overseas to Egypt and the Sinai Peninsula, Denmark, Germany, France, Sweden, England, Scotland and Ireland.

Eventually, Becca started to grow roots in Columbia, Missouri where she met her Missouri-native (ex) husband, Robert Hammett, and completed her Master of Arts in Cultural Geography at the University of Missouri-Columbia.  Shortly after receiving this degree, Becca was hired by the Missouri Department of Conservation where she worked with state biologists to help track and digitally map threatened and endangered plant and animal species.  In the spring of 2005, Becca and Robert made a semi-cross-country move to the Bulls Gap, TN area when Robert was offered a job with Greeneville-based company, EcoQuest, Intl.

In November of 2005, Becca was hired as Church Secretary.  Becca and toddler son, R.J., now live in Greeneville with their two cats, Luna and Clyde.  Becca’s parents and extended family live primarily in MI.  Her only sibling, younger brother, Jake, and sister-in-law, Marelina, live in Santa Monica, CA.  In her spare time, Becca still enjoys traveling and being outdoors.  Some of her hobbies and interests include baking bread, yoga, gardening and landscaping, and trying to find time each day to be creative/artful.  While she is looking forward to her parents’ retirement and relocation to TN from MI, Becca feels very blessed to have found this church family.
